Power Engineering Company, Inc. was originally founded in 1980 in Columbia, South Carolina solely as an engineering and surveying firm providing services to power companies.  Through the years the need became apparent for a company that was more comprehensive and capable of providing a wide range of services to diverse markets.  To meet those needs, Power Engineering expanded to include all facets of civil engineering and surveying.

Our registrants are respected and in demand for complicated civil engineering and surveying problems.  Power Engineering has been called upon to solve problems concerning complex engineering and surveying for all types of large projects.  Specifically, Power Engineering has been called upon to solve problems concerning storm drainage, water and sewer design and rehabilitation, grading and layout.  Our attention to detail, thoroughness, timeliness and constant focus on safety and economics has helped develop our strong reputation.  Since our establishment in 1980 we have successfully completed projects for many governmental, institutional, industrial and private agencies and clients.
